iOS Language Learning Game
“A Tagalog learning app built around how the language actually works. Lessons cover root words, affixes, verb focus, ang/ng/sa markers, and the Taglish you’d actually hear in everyday conversation.”
I wrote every quiz, coded the app in Swift, and drew the mascot and icons in Affinity Designer. Gemini Nano Banana generated supporting characters and scenes, with Claude Code helping speed up development.
Building Design Firm Website
Designed and built the marketing website for Likha Building Design Services, a Surrey, BC firm producing permit-ready construction drawings for homeowners, builders, and developers across British Columbia. Built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS v4, deployed on Vercel. Statically generated with per-project portfolio pages, custom OG images, sitemap, robots, and SEO-ready metadata.

My personal artist site at eanternet.com, built to anchor marketing campaigns and merchandise drops. Features a complete discography of 8 releases, a Wikipedia-style about page, and a shop.

Convolutional Neural Network
Recognizing multiple musical instruments in music and audio recordings. Achieved a 56% F1-score processing mel-spectrograms from the OpenMIC-2018 dataset. Presented at WSAI 2024 in Guangzhou and AIM 2024 in San Francisco.
Java Bullet-Hell Game
Survive waves of enemies in an endless dungeon with bullet-hell mechanics and occasional flight aids. Built core game mechanics and designed all in-game visuals including sprites, UI, menus, and background art.
Mechanical Contractor Website
Designing, building, and maintaining the website for a British Columbia mechanical contracting company. Built with Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind, deployed on Vercel. Statically generated for speed and SEO, with custom OG images, sitemap, robots, and JSON-LD. Also managing DNS through Namecheap, a custom-domain professional email setup, and ongoing SEO improvements.
AI-Powered Story Generator
Web-based interactive story generator. Owned the frontend and the integration between the web app and the story-generation API, working alongside a backend teammate.
Counselor Matching App
An online platform for BCIT students to find the right counselor through AI-powered matchmaking and real-time messaging. Built the frontend end-to-end on my own, including palette, art direction, and logo.
Personal Portfolio
My personal portfolio at gathrean.com. Originally built with Create React App in 2024, migrated to Next.js 15 App Router in 2026 to get SSR, per-route metadata, JSON-LD, and an optimized image pipeline that CRA couldn't support. Single-page anchor nav, custom typography (Inter + Instrument Serif), and live weather/clock widgets. Deployed on Vercel.
Artificial Intelligence Conference
Presented our research paper on Multi-Instrument Recognition Neural Networks as a poster to professors and authors from top universities, including UCLA and UC Berkeley.
Networked with leading researchers and industry professionals. Research paper published by AIM by the end of the year.
